Job summary

Harbor Light in Detroit seeks a Clinical Supervisor to lead clinical staff and oversee services. You will supervise, coordinate program activities, ensure proper record keeping, and respond to emergencies in line with Harbor Light policies.

The role includes directing staff, supporting admissions and discharges, and collaborating with community health partners to ensure continuum of care.

Qualifications

  • Two years of clinical supervisor or lead therapist experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years working in the field of substance abuse or mental health.
  • Proficient in coordinating with clinical staff and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical direction and leadership to all personnel.
  • Assure timely, accurate and adequate record keeping and monitor/evaluate records.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate all program activities.
  • Monitor all treatment program admissions, authorizations, and discharges.
  • Coordinate services with community and health care agencies to provide a continuum of care.
  • Respond to program emergencies following Harbor Light policies and procedures.
  • Supervision and scheduling of clinical personnel as directed by the Site Administrator.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding supervised staff.
  • Verify and approve hours worked and submit payroll information.
  • Provide recommendations on hiring and firing of clinical personnel.
  • Review admission and discharge satisfaction surveys.
  • Represent Harbor Light in community functions and committees.
  • Provide for day-to-day operations of the site in absence of Site Administrator.
  • Conduct staff meetings, supervision, fidelity checks, and clinical case conferences.
  • Participate in Detroit QI meetings, System-wide QI and Clinical Supervisor meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Certificates And Licenses
  • Appropriate MCBAP Clinical Supervisor Credentialing (CCS or CCS-DP) or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Must possess MCBAP Addiction Counselor Certification (CAADC, CADC-M, CADC)
  • Appropriate State License (LMSW, LLMSW, LLPC, LPC, ACSW)
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approved by The Salvation Army MVR
  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
