Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Pharmacist license issued by the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• Commitment to patient safety and high attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Order Processing & Verification: Review, interpret, enter, and verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Medication Dispensing & Safety: Dispense medications in full compliance with regulations and facility policies; maintain records for controlled substances.
• Clinical Evaluation: Evaluate drug regimens for appropriate selection, dosing, contraindications, allergies, and interactions.
• Therapeutic Consultation: Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and nurses on medication choices and alternatives.
• Clinical Support Services: Conduct drug consultations, IV-to-oral conversions, renal dosing adjustments, non-formulary reviews.
• Education & Information: Provide clear medication information to nursing staff, providers, and patients.
