Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking Clinical Staff Pharmacists to provide safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy across centralized and decentralized systems. You will evaluate, input, and verify medication orders and serve as a drug information resource for providers.

You will monitor and manage medication regimens per protocol, assist with inventory control, and collaborate with a broad care team to optimize patient outcomes in a full-spectrum health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Summary Job Description

Clinical Staff Pharmacists are responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. Through various assignments within the department, they provide support of centralized and decentralized medication use systems as well as deliver optimal medication therapy to patients with a broad range of disease states. All pharmacists are responsible for drug preparation and distribution for medications; evaluating, inputting and verification of medication orders; assisting providers and other health care professionals by serving as a drug information resource; monitoring and managing medication regimens per protocol or per consult; and managing pharmacy inventory.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing ACLS within 6 months of hire
