Job summary

CASCADETERRACE is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, coordinate with families and health teams, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Responsibilities include developing individualized plans, supervising students, communicating progress, and participating in care conferences, while ensuring safety and infection control in the clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY Speech-Language Pathologists and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with policies and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe, infection-controlled treatment environment.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support independence in swallowing and cognition.
