Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to plan and implement evaluation and treatment services for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will evaluate, treat, document progress, and counsel patients and families, while participating in multidisciplinary consultations and supervising staff and students.

New graduates are welcome; NC licensure or eligibility is required. Onsite, 40-hour work week in Wayne UNC Health Care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical history and information from patients, families, and other professionals.
• Performs evaluations and plans treatment with objective, measurable goals.
• Documents evaluation/treatment and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Provides supervision and clinical instruction to students and Rehab Services Technicians.
• Presents professional demeanor, supports patient care, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
