Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and rehabilitate patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers, and may assist more senior pathologists or students as needed.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, delivering therapy, communicating with families and staff, and maintaining clinical records in line with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Texas license to practice speech/language pathology.
• ASHA certification preferred; Basic Life Support certification required.
• Ability to receive and communicate oral and written information.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop written plans of care and set goals based on evaluation findings.
• Implement speech-language pathology treatment programs and reassess as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
• Serve as Clinical Instructor for students or interns when assigned.
• Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies and quality standards.
