Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders at Brenham State Supported Living Center. You will perform evaluations, develop therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support residents’ communication and feeding needs.

Responsibilities include documenting outcomes, leading habilitation sessions, and ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited college/university program in speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and analyze speech, language, and cognitive-communication skills.
• Evaluate swallowing function and plan dysphagia management.
• Develop and implement therapeutic plans and PNMP protocols.
• Collaborate with IDTs to ensure comprehensive care and documentation.
