JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for technical and clinical support of capital equipment set up and maintenance for customers who specialize in Endodontics. The team member will be an integral part of on-boarding new customers and driving consumable sales and utilization in the applicable geography.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account on-boarding –
Serves as primary resource for technical/clinical support in the areas of technical training, procedure coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products.
Work hands on with the customer for the first 10 cases per the Onboarding Playbook.
Demonstrate initiative and sees oneself as an extension of the Practice.
Attend clinical procedures in the operatories of accounts as needed to assure customer and patient success with Endodontics products after customer completes the Onboarding Playbook.
Support sales funnel with execution of the program as needed with capital sales rep.
Increase Utilization
Calling directly on dentists, staff and affiliated stakeholders using training and in-servicing sessions to improve procedure knowledge, and to help identify appropriate patients.
Attends clinical procedures in the operatories of accounts to assure customer and patient success with Endodontics products.
Sees oneself as an educator vs a checklist owner. Educates customers and affiliated stakeholders on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by delivering presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., typodont models, slides, manuals) to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy and technology developments and current items of interest in the industry.
Stays abreast of relevant clinical and library research and participates in case reviews, procedure observation and clinical discussions with dentists, office staff and affiliated stakeholders.
Stays compliant with completion of all critical training workbooks.
Develops relationships with dental office personnel (e.g. through casual conversations, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts within dental offices and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales. Also, be able to marshal the Endodontics resources to bear for the account.
Respond to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnose system hardware, software and operator problems. Partner with internal technical support and service team members to ensure resolution.
Drive and support customer referral events and practice marketing needs (i.e. Lunch and Learns, Open Houses, Referral events, Practice Marketing).
Drive and support Professional Education activities for existing customers and event support when needed.
Respond to client inquiries concerning product or procedure complaints.
Able to install any newly sold system.
Records/gathers HIPAA-compliant quantified data on specific system and procedure related protocols required by marketing, R&D and/or clinical/regulatory.
Administrative and Other
Participate in various meetings, both by telephone and in person. This would include team or departmental conference calls, training, and team meetings.
Administrative tasks to include timely reporting and data entry.
Maintain a professional image.
Foster collaboration between the company and customers.
Maintain compliance with Quality System procedures and company policies.
Maintain disciplined record on account activity.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Will be required to maintain advanced clinical knowledge of endodontic disease states, procedures, technology, and the business landscape.
Ability to build rapport, establish trust and assist clinician and their staff to change.
Strong computer/technical skills (e.g Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com).

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience including 3 years of sales experience in a patient care environment preferred.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel 60%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
COMPENSATION:
The posted range for this position is $73,432 to $114,737 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a commission not reflected in the posted range.
