A Day In The Life

The Clinical Specialist at CVRx is responsible for providing clinical support for CVRx technology and business applications through education of current and potential customers, and procedure coverage within a defined region or geography, in partnership with Territory Managers, sales leaders and other key internal partners. As a Clinical Specialist at CVRx, you will play a vital role in supporting our cutting-edge technology while also supporting our commercial team in driving the expansion of our products. Other duties and areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively communicating product and clinical benefits of Barostim therapy to cardiologists, heart failure/hypertension specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons to ensure their understanding of the therapy.
  • Facilitating trainings and other programs on proper application of Barostim therapy to clinicians, office, and hospital staff.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting during implant procedures, follow-up procedures, titrations, and patient office visits to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
  • Working with Territory Managers in developing effective plans to communicate the benefits of our technology, tailored to specific markets.
  • Collaborating with Territory Managers, key physicians, and site staff to develop and execute plans for launching CVRx programs at new customer sites and ensuring ongoing commitment.
  • Driving utilization and expansion of Barostim therapy through disease state education and therapeutic program development.
  • Acting as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business.
  • Meeting with healthcare providers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints, providing creative solutions.
  • Adhering to sales management processes and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.
  • Providing backup support to other field staff as needed.

Requirements

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management abilities
  • Ability to understand medical and surgical concepts, including active implantable medical devices
  • Experience with cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices; heart failure experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn Salesforce and other systems

  • Travel required (60% or more), some overnights

Benefits

CVRx offers competitive salaries and benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), stock options, paid holidays and time off, life insurance, and more. Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000/year, plus potential bonuses and benefits. Details vary by location and experience.
