Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd is seeking a Clinical Specialist to support our pioneering Ultrasound Renal Denervation (uRDN) therapy. The successful candidate will engage with healthcare professionals, conduct demonstrations, and assist with training and support for clinical cases, requiring expertise in cardiovascular procedures.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary

The Clinical Specialist engages with doctors, nurses, and staff to educate on our products, support procedures, and identify appropriate activities to further the business. This position will work collaboratively with the Sales Territory Manager in their respective territories. The role includes conducting hands‑on demonstrations and in‑services, supporting new program launch efforts, and assisting the regional team in day‑to‑day activities such as trade show attendance, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting medical education.

Responsibilities and Duties
Technical Support
  • Represent ReCor Medical during cases to ensure customer and patient success with products and demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Fulfill the duties of a Cardiology Sales Executive in vacant territories and support procedures as directed by the Commercial Team.
  • Assist CSE, as needed, when opening new accounts.
  • Assist in product demonstration and troubleshooting at medical education events.
  • Provide technical support for new product launches, including data collection and support clinical sites.
  • Gather and share clinical feedback from the field to assist with product development and design review.
  • Work with the Quality department to track device‑related clinical feedback and complaints.
Educational Support
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on technical matters related to our products by conducting and/or coordinating one‑on‑one training sessions, in‑service education programs, seminars, and/or outside symposiums.
  • Collect and study information about new and existing products and monitor competitor sales, prices, and products.
  • Provide clinical expertise/guidance to internal colleagues.
Sales Support
  • Serve as an effective ReCor Medical representative to physicians and support staff regarding products.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and requirements.
  • Use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within the account.
  • Respond to customer needs and report customer complaints regarding products and service by developing and/or working with other personnel.
  • Build rapport with all pertinent account stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, technologists, and administrators.
Requirements
  • Clinical experience in cardiovascular procedures or at least 2 years of clinical case support.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Open to travel up to 50% of the time to various locations.
  • Ability to travel overnight 1‑2+ nights a week depending on regional needs.
  • Work hours 7:30am‑5pm, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings and weekends based on regional needs.
  • Strong administrative skills to ensure all necessary paperwork associated with cases or follow‑up, or associated with data collection is correct.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand technical information and teach it to others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and oral.
Salary

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 (Annual Base Salary). The starting base pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
