Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-2 years of professional software engineering experience including internships or projects.
• Foundational proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Familiarity with SDLC practices, source control, automated testing, and collaborative code review.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants in coursework, internships, projects, or professional work.

Responsibilities

• Implement well-scoped features and bug fixes under guidance from experienced engineers.
• Write clean, testable code and maintainable documentation for a regulated production environment.
• Participate in design discussions, ask clarifying questions, and apply feedback.
• Submit code for peer review and review teammates’ changes appropriately.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests as part of feature delivery.
• Document work in design notes and runbooks; contribute to knowledge bases.
• Monitor production software and participate in incident reviews and root-cause analyses.
• Learn SOX and FDA change-control practices and apply them to assigned work.
• Work with teammates and AI tools to accelerate implementation and testing.
