Job summary

Caris Life Sciences seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Clinical Software Products portfolio in Irving, TX. The role focuses on production systems supporting regulated clinical workflows, report generation, and template rendering with AI-enabled development practices.

Reporting to an engineering manager, you will design, build, and maintain applications governed by SOX and FDA requirements, contribute to architecture decisions, and lead technical delivery on an assigned product team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on across full SDLC in a team setting.
Experience writing automated tests (unit/integration/E2E).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain features across clinical software platforms.
Lead design discussions and document options and trade-offs.
Conduct peer code reviews and ensure quality, performance, and compliance.
Collaborate with product management to sharpen requirements and estimate backlog items.
Maintain design documents, architecture decisions, and runbooks for SOX/FDA controls.
Instrument, monitor, and support production systems; participate in incident analysis.
