Position Overview

Join Palm Beach State College as a Clinical Skills Coordinator, responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical skills labs and simulations in collaboration with the health sciences and nursing departments.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical skills labs and simulation programs.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and repair lab and simulation equipment.
  • Stage practice modules, clinical simulations, and skills labs.
  • Provide instruction on lab and mannequin usage to students.
  • Operate simulation mannequins and control mannequin vitals, reactions, and other functions based on simulation actions.
  • Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to design, develop, and implement professional programming supporting academic and student success.
  • Train faculty on simulation lab operation.
  • Maintain inventories of equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Coordinate repair or replacement of broken equipment and any regular maintenance requirements by vendors.
  • Prepare required reports for various internal and external requests.
  • Design and create training content and materials for topic presentations.
  • Maintain a safe workplace and follow established safety practices.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new lab materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of field or profession.
  • Travel to training workshops, conferences, meetings, and professional events outside of college locations, as needed.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree and one year of related experience; OR high school diploma or GED and three years of related experience.
Knowledge
  • Medical simulation software and applications.
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application.
Skills

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements
  • Regular physical attendance required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida; OR Licensed as a Paramedic in the State of Florida.

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $25.81 per hour; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
