Job summary

Velocity Clinical Research, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Site Director to lead the site's clinical operations, budgeting and study execution. You will ensure feasibility, staffing, patient recruitment and regulatory compliance while safeguarding patient health.

You will partner with the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, manage budgets, drive performance, maintain quality standards and foster strong sponsor, CRO and IRB relationships to accelerate trial delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree suggested or equivalent clinical research experience.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical management experience in clinical research industry.
• Strong knowledge of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Senior Director of Clinical Operations to manage the operational budget and meet/exceed targets.
• Maintain complete (24/7) control over the overall operations and management of clinical research trials at the site.
• Identify and implement strategies to expand the research capabilities at the site in line with growth plans.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Velocity quality standards ensuring adherence to ICH GCPs and Velocity SOPs.
• Work with the Medical Director to address any study and/or clinical quality related issues.
• Ensure timely communications with Sponsors, CROs and IRBs as necessary.
• Develop site staffing plans to ensure successful and efficient conduct of studies.
• Oversee patient recruitment plans and outreach; adjust strategies based on results and collaborate with external vendors.
• Manage performance of site staff and ensure ongoing training needs are met.
• Ensure staff complete required trainings and establish performance guidelines.
• Facilitate annual performance evaluations of site staff.
• Identify and manage issues related to staff conduct.
• Develop relationships with outside medical practices and other healthcare professionals to aid recruitment.
• Conduct business development activities with sponsors, CROs and study vendors.
• Oversee reporting of site revenues, financial projections, invoicing and AR collections.
• Share best practices with other Velocity site locations.
