JOB SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Urgent Care Supervisor is to provide clinical oversight to the department, manage daily schedules and resources ensuring efficient and timely patient care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides daily work direction to designated staff and troubleshoots as appropriate
  • Create and review monthly staff schedules ensuring coverage at all sites
  • Create and review provider schedules ensuring adequate coverage at all sites
  • Ensure policies & procedures are adhered to adequately and collaborate with management regarding implementation of new policies
  • Conducts employee annual performance reviews
  • Manages employee timesheets and timecard approval
  • Participates in interdepartmental meetings as appropriate
  • Monitor & complete items in team pools/provider inboxes
  • Monitor & assign daily tasks to team assistants to ensure accuracy and completion
  • Administer intravenous fluids (IVs), place catheters, and assist with ports
  • Assist with hospital and ER patient transfers
  • Assess and monitor acute patient needs
  • Assists with execution of EMR projects, solutions, and troubleshooting
  • Complete staff counseling with Clinical Services Management
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Remain punctual, reliable, and available for late coverage if applicable
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while supporting the clinic vision
  • Maintain required RN or LPN licensure
  • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a neat and well-groomed professional appearance
  • Interact positively with all interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information acquired through clinic employment
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, providers, internal personnel, and outside facilities
  • Follow clinic emergency/safety protocols and attend mandatory meetings
  • Abide by clinic protocols, ergonomic recommendations, and OSHA standards
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Subject to interruptions, high volume telephone calls, and frequent problem solving activities
  • Subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, staff, or outside agencies
  • Flexibility in scheduling required to meet department needs
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Abide by ergonomic recommendations of the position
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetic devices that will enable these senses to function adequately
  • Stand or Sit for several hours
  • Subject to lifting and carrying supplies averaging 25 pounds
  • Repetitive motions involving use of phone and keyboard
QualificationsEDUCATION:
  • Minimum: Licensed RN or LPN in Wisconsin and Minnesota
  • Minimum: RN or LPN - Two or more years of healthcare experience
KNOWLEDGE:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal instruction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgment skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and general nursing skills
  • Knowledge of PC, Windows, & Microsoft Office
  • Exhibit leadership and time management skills
