Job Overview

A full-time opportunity for a Clinical Director is available in the Outpatient Clinical Services Department. This individual reports to the Chief Executive Officer and provides clinical and administrative oversight of various programs and services. Responsibilities include policy planning, implementation, and enforcement of all MDHHS/CMH policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of behavioral sciences related to mental health treatment
• Understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to mental health
• Experience with outpatient/inpatient and community services, family systems theory, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and therapy modalities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to build therapeutic relationships
• Clinical understanding of children and adult mental health conditions and evidence-based practices
• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, or Psychology
• Licensure within scope of practice in Michigan (preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, pass background checks, and have access to a reliable vehicle
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable
