Location: Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, 3400 Civic Center Blvd, Department: Med Endo-Diabetes, Hours: Fulltime, Monday-Friday.

Summary: The CSA assists practice managers and physicians in delivering patient-centered care, supporting clinical and administrative duties as a Medical Assistant and Patient Services Associate, based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Room patients, review medical history, prepare charts, assist with specimen collection, perform EKGs, minor procedures, and emergency responses.
• Clerical: Manage patient communication, schedule appointments, handle documentation, and support patient education.
• Environmental/Safety: Follow infection control protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Patient Service: Manage patient flow, handle billing and insurance, and provide excellent service.
• Financial: Understand insurance requirements, validate data, and assist with billing processes.
• Regulatory: Comply with healthcare standards and policies, adapt to practice changes.

Credentials: Medical Assistant Certification (required within 90 days), BLS/CPR (required at hire).

Education/Experience: H.S. Diploma/GED, completion of an accredited MA program or relevant experience, 2+ years medical office or customer service experience, Associates degree (preferred).

Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, attention to detail, EMR skills, knowledge of billing requirements.
