Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Medical Assistant/Clinical Scribe to support providers with charting and patient care. You will prepare rooms, review histories, take vitals, and assist with injections and specimen collection under provider supervision.

Qualified candidates hold MA certification and BLS, with knowledge of EPIC. Prior clinic experience preferred. This full-time role pays hourly and offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology relevant to outpatient care.
• Familiarity with patient assessment and vital sign collection.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and supplies prior to patient visits.
• Rooms patients, takes histories, meds, allergies, and vitals.
• Assist with injections, specimen collection, and phlebotomy as needed.
