Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Clinical Scribe (CMA) for the Cardio Clinic. The role supports physicians by real-time charting, patient prep, phlebotomy, injections, and processing tests, with duties during clinic visits, telephonic and electronic communication.

The ideal candidate has Medical Assistant Certification and BLS, with experience in a medical office preferred. Training will be provided on Epic documentation tools, and the position offers day shift, full-time hours

Qualifikationen

• Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse & Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training is required.
• Successful completion of clinic transformation or scribe training prior to start.

Aufgaben

• Prepares instruments, supplies and protective devices for exam and testing.
• Rooms and prepares patients, reviews histories, allergies and medications and records vitals.
• Orders and administers injections and collects specimens as directed.
• Documents encounters in EPIC in real time across history, exam, assessment and plan.
• Manages patient communications and test results per provider instructions.
