Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support clinicians with real-time documentation during patient visits, observe in exam rooms, and prepare After Visit Summaries. This role emphasizes accurate coding (CPT and ICD-10) and alignment with our value-based care model.

You will work full-time hours, commit to at least 1 year, and collaborate with care teams to ensure precise documentation and efficient workflows in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications from clinical exposure.
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering.
• Scribe or transcription experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting Patient Encounters ~ 80%.
• Clinical Documentation Improvement ~ 10%.
• Administrative support for your provider and care team ~ 10%.
• Other duties as assigned.
