Job summary

Lyell Immunopharma seeks a Director of Clinical Science to drive design, execution, and oversight of pivotal clinical trials, ensuring GCP compliance and regulatory readiness. You will partner with medical monitors and cross-functional teams to support PiNACLE and PiNACLE-H2H studies and beyond.

Reporting to the VP, Clinical Development, this hands-on role emphasizes collaboration, scientific rigor, and innovation, including exploration of AI methods to improve trial methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical development and oncology or cell therapy preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and trial design.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor study oversight, data review, and safety reporting across programs.
• Contribute to protocol design, endpoints, and patient populations.
• Coordinate data collection, analyses, and interpretation for publications.
• Support regulatory submissions and investigator documentation.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs.
