Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for Penrose Cardiology Clinic in Colorado Springs to manage registration, scheduling, medical records, and insurance authorizations. You will ensure accurate data entry and support cash collections while keeping patient information organized.

You will schedule procedures, assist with patient care as directed by providers, maintain EMR accuracy, and deliver excellent service to patients and staff in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• 1 year of experience or completion of Medical Assistant program or completion of the CommonSpirit Digital Access Coordinator Apprenticeship.
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with registration, scheduling, medical records maintenance, and insurance authorizations.
• Schedule surgical procedures and anesthesia, coordinating resources for efficiency.
• Provide direct patient care as directed by providers and assist with tests and documentation in patient charts.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and compile reports to support operations.
• Serve as primary contact for patients and staff, delivering high-quality service.
