Position Overview

This role combines sales and clinical management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a clinically reputable individual whose primary duties include selling Quest Cardiovascular products and managing the sales process through technical presentations, customer training, clinical support, and relationship building.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness of all cardiac surgery centers, caseloads, cardiac surgeons, and perfusionists within the assigned territory. Create and maintain quarterly business plans containing target accounts and scheduled activities.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor clinical support activities. Record, summarize, and report product use data obtained during clinical evaluations and collate data into presentations to facilitate sales at each account.
  • Develop, implement, and refine product training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness of product use training.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key individuals at target accounts and maintain ongoing communication with existing customers to sustain good relationships. Leverage these relationships to expand sales opportunities and enhance credibility.
  • Create and maintain a positive image of Quest Medical with hospital personnel, emphasizing technical competence, customer orientation, and respect.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product use characteristics. Troubleshoot and help resolve product use issues.
  • Communicate regularly with the sales team to improve the sales process.
  • Manage the entire sales and training process from initial product introduction to administrative approval.
  • Identify new applications and product development opportunities.
  • Encourage customer clinical research, presentations, and publications, and stay informed about current clinical research related to the products.
  • Deliver presentations via live or video communication platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Attend at least 90% of scheduled sales meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Strong drive and desire to succeed, with an opportunistic approach to selling.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s or advanced degree is a plus.
  • At least five years of cardiovascular clinical and/or biomedical engineering or related clinical sales experience.
  • Experience in a cardiac surgery environment preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Commitment to learning intraoperative myocardial protection techniques.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
