Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions partners with MaineHealth to offer travel nurse opportunities across MaineHealth facilities, with 8, 10, or 13 week assignments based on facility need. Roles include direct patient care, support across care teams, and education for patients and families.

We provide weekly direct deposit pay, guaranteed hours, 401K with company match, and housing options or tax-free subsidies to support you in your assignment across Portland, ME.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience in a hospital setting
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position
• Degree from an accredited school
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations
• Ability to communicate clearly and to read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
