Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions partners with MaineHealth to provide travel nurse opportunities within MaineHealth’s network of facilities. These roles offer 8, 10, or 13 week assignments across communities in Maine.

Each placement aims to support patient care teams by delivering high-quality nursing support, with focus on safety, collaboration, and continuity of care. Multiple facilities within the network offer professional growth and meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year acute care hospital experience.
• Certifications as required for specific position.
• Degree from an accredited school.
• Ability to communicate clearly and to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Educate patient and family appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

HWS seeks highly skilled healthcare professionals interested in placement with MaineHealth for an 8, 10, or 13 week assignment based on facility need.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient

What We Require from You:

• Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience in a hospital setting
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position
• Degree from an accredited school
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations
• Ability to communicate clearly and to read, write, speak, and understand English
