Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, in partnership with MaineHealth, offers travel nurse opportunities across MaineHealth facilities. Assignments of 8, 10, or 13 weeks, with guaranteed hours and competitive compensation.

You will assist healthcare professionals, monitor patient status, and coordinate care across disciplines. Requirements include at least one year of acute care hospital experience, appropriate certifications, and a degree from an accredited school.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position.
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

HWS seeks highly skilled healthcare professionals interested in placement with MaineHealth for an 8, 10, or 13 week assignment based on facility need.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient

What We Require from You:

• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position
