Qualifications

• Must have RCP license in the state of practice.
• Active NBRC RRT or CRT credential within 12 months (or prior to 2023).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA).
• Graduate from accredited respiratory care program with associate degree.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist patient handling tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using respiratory therapy processes and diagnostics.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care settings; assist physicians.
• Provide medications and therapies per orders or protocols.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure equipment functionality.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose, technique, and self-care.
• Collaborate with other departments for patient management education.
• Precept new teammates and students; adapt to department policies.
• Demonstrate safety focus and accurate patient handoff.
