Qualifications

• 3+ years of critical care or emergency department nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active New Jersey RN license; BLS/HCP required; ACLS required; telemetry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated patient care.
• Maintain cooperative relationships among healthcare teams through effective communication.
• Collaborate and provide clinical input for bed placement.
• Prioritize ED throughput to inpatient units.
• Proactively round on and assist nurse residents and new skills.
• Manage patients at risk for clinical deterioration through surveillance and house rounding.
• Assess and provide recommendations for patient care.
• Assist with clinical troubleshooting and high-risk nursing interventions.
• Provide support during rapid response and inpatient code blue calls.
• Mentor nursing staff in managing complex patient challenges.

Education
