Job summary

SQRL in Walnut Creek, CA is hiring a Clinical Research Patient Recruitment Specialist to identify, screen, and follow up with potential trial participants. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in clinical research, biological research, patient recruitment, or a closely related environment.
• Prior experience handling high-volume inbound and outbound phone calls.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical research regulations such as GCP, HIPAA, FDA, or IRB guidelines is preferred.
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and accurately documenting activity in computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inbound and outbound calls with potential study participants and complete initial phone screenings
• Review study requirements and use protocol criteria to determine whether potential participants may qualify
• Enter patient medical history, demographic information, screening results, and follow-up activity into clinical research systems
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective participants, including appointment reminders and outreach to missed appointments
• Support recruitment planning, study launches, community events, screenings, and other initiatives designed to increase enrollment
• Work closely with the broader clinical research team while maintaining patient confidentiality and following applicable research regulations
