Job summary

The Buck Institute seeks a clinical research leader to run THRIVE visits and manage the on-site clinic, serving as the operational heart of our Clinical Research Core. This role blends study leadership with hands-on clinic oversight for multiple concurrent studies.

You will lead a small team, ensure IRB compliance, coordinate with staff and vendors, and drive enrollment while upholding GCP standards in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Education & experience requirements for clinical research or project management.
• Experience in clinical procedures training and oversight.
• Experience preparing/submitting IRB protocols or continuing reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead THRIVE day-to-day execution in line with protocol, GCP, ICH and SOPs.
• Translate protocol into participant flow and scheduling across sites.
• Supervise two senior and two junior research associates collecting data 2–3 days/week.
• Coordinate with Recruitment Specialist to maintain enrollment pace; flag risks.
• Own IRB compliance, data quality, biospecimen tracking, and PHI protection.
• Run THRIVE team meetings and manage relationships with partners and vendors.
• Be the clinic quarterback: monitor visits, staffing, and issues across studies.
• Oversee procedure quality, safety reporting, and escalation for adverse events.
• Lead, mentor and train Clinical Research Associates; maintain SOPs and training records.
• Serve as first contact for staff, collaborators, and participants; coordinate with medical staff.
