Job summary

The Buck Institute’s Clinical Research Core is seeking a clinical research leader to run THRIVE visits and manage the on-site clinic in Marin County, CA.

You will lead day-to-day THRIVE execution, ensure IRB compliance, data quality, and biospecimen tracking, and supervise a small team across multiple sites.

This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly onsite, a salary of $90,000–$100,000 per year, health benefits, parental leave, PTO, and a 401(k) with 5% employer match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/technical degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Master's or PhD with 2+ years of experience.
• Clinical skills to train and oversee study staff.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience preparing or submitting IRB protocols, amendments, or continuing reviews.
• Strong organization across concurrent studies with follow-through.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead THRIVE day-to-day execution and staff coordination.
• Translate protocol into participant flow across sites.
• Oversee IRB compliance, data quality, and biospecimen tracking.
• Run team meetings and manage relationships with partners.
• Be clinic quarterback for visits, staff coverage, and issues.
