Job summary

The National Institutes of Health seeks a Nurse (Research Specialist) to collaborate with the Principal Investigator and serve as an Associate Investigator on clinical research protocols. Qualifications

• Documents, collects, and records all participant encounters in the legal medical record per licensure and institutional requirements.
• Educates and counsels subjects and subjects' families on patient eligibility, registration, supportive care, post-study evaluation, and informed consent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the PI to implement and oversee clinical research protocols.
• Document, collect, and record participant encounters in the medical record according to licensure and policy.
• Identify and resolve protocol design or execution issues with the PI.
• Educate subjects and families on eligibility, consent, and study procedures.
• Provide nursing care to research participants and monitor safety as part of the study team.
• Contribute to data capture, analysis, and presentation of study results.
