Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a CORS Cellular Immunotherapy/Autoimmune Clinical Research Nurse to support a new autoimmune clinic initiative in Seattle. The role is onsite at South Lake Union, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with start/end times potentially varying.

The CRN will balance patient care with protocol requirements, provide education to patients and families, and work closely with the study team to ensure data accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree required.
• Current Washington State RN license or NLC multistate license (MSL); upgrade to WA primary residence within 60 days.
• Current BLS card renewal required every two years.
• Minimum 3 years of oncology experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work as an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in care of oncology patients.
• Experience with clinical research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equilibrium between care of the research participant, protocol requirements and compliance.
• Utilizes nursing and clinical operations expertise to advocate for others as needed.
• Provides nursing and clinical operations expertise to the research team.
• Partners with clinic nursing and study team to educate patients and documents appropriately.
• Partners with clinic nurses to bridge patient from protocol requirements to clinical care.
• Assists Investigators and study teams in pre-screening patients and confirming eligibility.
• Documents in EHR and includes research protocol details needed for data entry and compliance.
• Supports investigators and study teams in adverse event assessments and data entry.
