Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, seeks a Clinical Research Supervisor to oversee the orientation, day-to-day supervision and ongoing professional development of team members, ensuring trials are conducted safely and in compliance with GCP, CFR and SOPs.

You will guide staff in coordinating study elements, monitor quality and regulatory issues, and help manage study portfolios while maintaining data integrity and patient safety.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of FDA and IRB regulations required.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Advanced understanding of medical terminology required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizes, analyzes and prioritizes workflow.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the orientation, day to day supervision and continuing professional development of team members.
• Ensures clinical trials are managed safely, effectively, and in compliance with GCP, CFR, state regulations and SOPs.
• Manages a study portfolio and coordinates study activities with the PI/sub‑I and hospital services.
• Provides support for regulatory/IRB issues after study initiation.
• Monitors data quality and coaches the team through all phases of research implementation.
• Onboards and trains new hires and assists with performance management.
