The University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a Clinical Research Supervisor to oversee clinical research coordinators, manage trial logistics, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and time management skills, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. The University of Wisconsin Clinical Trials Institute (UW CTI) is a partnership between the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) and UW Health. It supports clinical research professionals, investigators, and participants to advance discovery and research in the prevention, detection, and treatment of disease to help improve the health of individuals, families, and communities across Wisconsin and beyond. Our exceptionally talented workforce provides care, support, and information to clinical trials participants; resources, training, and guidance to research professionals; and opportunities for industry partners to advance groundbreaking medical research.
The Clinical Research Coordinator Supervisor will supervise the UW CTI clinical research coordinators. They will have the responsibility of recruiting and hiring of new clinical research coordinator staff, take the lead in competency-based onboarding of new coordinators, performance management of current staff, and allocating work on clinical trials and provide day-to-day operational support for research coordinator activities.
The Clinical Research Supervisor will be expected to maintain coverage of clinical trials and be willing to address urgent issues outside of normal working hours (this includes evenings, weekends, and holidays). Must have flexible work schedule availability. The ideal candidate will have strong time management and communication skills with the ability to work independently or in teams, manage multiple projects amidst competing priorities, track details, and continuously improve processes. They will have strong knowledge of industry appropriate regulations and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
The Clinical Research Supervisor is expected to provide support to the coordinators if the team has planned vacation or is unable to complete their on-call shift. The supervisor may be required to travel to other UW Health clinics so they should have reliable transportation or be willing to use public transportation. This position requires on-call status for subject recruitment, enrollment, and subject monitoring.

The starting salary for this position is $66,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
University sponsorship is not available for this position, including transfers of sponsorship. The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring their continuous eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without the need of an employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment. This position is an ongoing position that will require continuous work eligibility. If you are selected for this position you must provide proof of work authorization and eligibility to work.

TB testing and a Caregiver Background Check will be required at the time of employment. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
