The Lurie Center for Autism, a Mass General Brigham program based in Lexington, is a multidisciplinary program designed to evaluate and treat children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions. The Center is seeking a Research Coordinator I to assist with implementing a portfolio of clinical research trials and projects related to Williams syndrome.
The CRC I will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and will participate in tasks related to all phases of the clinical research including the initiation, monitoring, completion, and reporting phases. All activities will be conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) Guidelines.
Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor’s degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly organized, and passionate about advancing research in neurodevelopmental and genetic conditions. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with children, adults, and families, and attention to detail are essential. Candidates should be comfortable balancing participant-facing interactions with data management, regulatory, and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently to manage study activities while communicating effectively with participants, investigators, and research team members to ensure smooth study operations.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in clinical research within a multidisciplinary academic medical center and is well suited for individuals interested in careers in medicine, psychology, neuroscience, genetic counseling, public health, or clinical research. Due to the substantial investment in training and the duration of the research studies, candidates able to commit to the position for at least two years are strongly preferred.
