Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities in accordance with approved protocols administered by the non-cancer Center for Clinical Research Management for the Department of Family Medicine. The role involves assisting with patient record assessments to identify eligible participants, recruiting, interviewing, and enrolling patients, obtaining informed consent in compliance with regulatory and sponsor requirements, educating patients and families about the study, coordinating scheduling and follow-up of patient care, procedures, and diagnostic testing, participating in the collection and evaluation of biological samples, administering and evaluating diagnostic, psychological, or behavioral tests, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, documenting responses, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The coordinator also assists with data collection, coding, analysis, report generation, and reviews for data validity, supports compliance with IRB, FDA, and other regulations, and helps in developing new research protocols.
Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences, health sciences, social sciences, or other medical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience in a clinical research capacity.
Experience or knowledge in Family Medicine and chronic diseases is preferred; knowledge of medical terminology; clinical research certification from an accredited agency; computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications.
Successful completion of a background check; pre-employment physical and drug screening may be required.
