Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities in cardiovascular medicine under the Center for Clinical Research Management. You will identify eligible patients, recruit, enroll, obtain informed consent, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will assist with data collection, sample handling, and reporting, monitor for adverse events, and support quality assurance and IRB submissions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical research experience.
Preferred 2–4 years of relevant experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
Clinical research certification (ACRP or SOCRA) desirable; Microsoft Office skills desirable.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities per protocol.
Identify eligible patients, recruit, interview, and enroll.
Obtain informed consent and ensure consent procedures comply with regulatory and sponsor requirements.
Assist with collection, processing and evaluation of biological samples and data.
Monitor patients for adverse events and notify appropriate clinical staff.
Support IRB, FDA and sponsor regulatory compliance and quality reviews.
Assist with protocol development and establishment of study goals.
