Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate daily clinical research activities for the Division of Stroke and Neurocritical Care in the Department of Neurology. You will screen records to identify eligible patients, recruit, interview and enroll participants, obtain informed consent, and educate families about study goals and procedures.

You will schedule visits and testing per protocol, assist with collecting and processing samples,

Qualifications

One year experience in a clinical research capacity required.
Experience or knowledge in stroke and cerebrovascular disease preferred.
Experience working on an inpatient unit and fast paced environment preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
Clinical research certification from an accredited certifying agency desired.
Computer skills required with experience using Microsoft Software applications desired.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities per approved protocols.
Recruit, interview and enroll patients; obtain informed consent.
Educate patients and families about study purpose and procedures.
Collect, process and evaluate biological samples; maintain data quality.
Prepare reports and ensure regulatory compliance with IRB, FDA and sponsors.
On-site work with on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
