Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities in accordance with approved protocols at the Center for Clinical Research Management (CCRM). The role involves identifying eligible participants, recruiting and enrolling patients, obtaining informed consent, and educating patients about study purposes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or related field.
1 year of relevant clinical research experience required.
Preferred: 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology desired; clinical research certification from ACRP or SOCRA desired; computer skills with Microsoft Office applications desired.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform daily clinical research activities according to approved protocols.
Assess patient records to identify eligibility and recruit, interview, enroll participants.
Obtain informed consent and ensure consent process complies with regulatory and sponsor requirements.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report to appropriate clinical staff and sponsors.
Collect, process, and analyze clinical research data; generate and review reports for data validity.
Ensure compliance with IRB, FDA and sponsor regulations; assist with QA/CS reviews and regulatory submissions.
