Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to lead and manage clinical trials under PI direction, ensuring GCP compliance, IRB and regulatory adherence, and proper data capture across sites.

The ideal candidate will coordinate protocol development, staff training, patient recruitment, informed consent, data management, and safety reporting, contributing to trial integrity and participant protection.

Qualifications

• Required - Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• Associates Degree with CRC, Radiology/Cardiology license, RRT/NBRC or CRT/NBRC in related fields.
• High School Diploma with CCRP/CCRC credentials.
• LPN license with related experience and appropriate schooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement clinical trials under the direction of the Principal Investigator in accordance with GCP, federal/state regulations and IRB requirements.
• Facilitate protocol development and trial feasibility.
• Ensure start-up completion worksheets with required protocol training for staff and ancillary departments.
• Adhere to study protocol and schedule of events, schedule patient visits for protocol procedures.
• Screening and recruitment of study subjects.
• Prepare IRB reports and maintain regulatory documents.
• Obtain informed consent and HIPAA authorization.
• Conduct clinical follow-up including biometric data and specimen collection.
• Create and complete source worksheets, build and maintain EDC systems and CRFs.
• Assess patients for trial-related and non-trial symptoms; report adverse events and serious adverse events.
• Dispense/investigate investigational product and participate in recruitment efforts.
• Mentor new team members and work independently as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field

Associates Degree with CRC/Radiology License/Cardiology License/Respiratory License

High School Diploma with CCRP/CCRC

LPN license with related experience

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital

Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement clinical trials under the direction of the Principle Investigator in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice, federal and state regulations and institutional review board (IRB) requirements.

• Duties may include:

• Facilitate protocol development, Complete trial feasibility

• Ensure study start-up completion worksheet is complete with required protocol specific training of research staff and ancillary departments

• Ensure adherence to the study protocol and schedule of events, patient visit scheduling for protocol related procedures

• Screening

• Study recruitment

• Preparation of IRB reports

• Establishment and maintenance of regulatory documents

• Performing the process of informed consent and HIPPA authorization

• Clinical follow-up of study subjects including biometric data and specimen collection

• Creation and completion of source worksheets

• Building and maintaining EDC systems

• Collecting source data for electronic data capture (EDC) systems

• Building and completing Case Report Form (CRF)s

• Assess patients for trial-related and non-trial related symptoms

• Reporting of adverse events

• Serious adverse events

• Dispensing/accountability of investigational product

• Participate in additional business activities to recruit new trials or meet recruitment goal

• Mentors new team members to protocol and site processes

• Must work independently and use sound judgement while performing job duties

• Perform duties as assigned under the scope of related certification or licensure

Clinical Research Coordinator II

• Required - Bachelor's degree in related field in lieu of experience

• Or - 2 years of research experience with an Associates Degree in related field and CRC (Clinical Research), Radiology License, Cardiology License, RRT/Active NBRC (Respiratory), or CRT/Active NBRC (Respiratory)

• Or - 5 years of research experience with a High School Diploma and CCRP (Clinical Research) or CCRC (Clinical Research)

• Or - 5 years LPN experience and 1 year coordinator role with a Technical School and LPN License

• Or - 2 years LPN and 5 years Research with a Technical School and LPN License

Clinical Research Coordinator III

• Required - 5 years research experience with an Associates degree in related field and CRC (Clinical Research), Radiology License, Cardiology License, RRT/Active NBRC (Respiratory), or CRT/Active NBRC (Respiratory)

• Or - 7 years research experience with a Technical School and LPN License

• Or - 2 years research experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field
