Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a Clinic Research Assistant to support the research nurse/coordinator in clinical trials. The role involves collecting, processing, storing and handling specimens, scheduling patient follow-ups, and entering study data.

Full-time with day shifts in the PMG - Kaseman area. Minimum requirements include HS/GED and 2 years of research experience or Medical Assistant/Laboratory Technician with at least 6 months of clinical experience;

Qualifications

• HS or GED required.
• 2 years of research experience or Medical Assistant/Laboratory Technician with at least 6 months of clinical experience.
• Preferred: Certified Phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Documents on case report forms.
• Retrieve medical records (electronic and/or paper records).
• May collect clinical data such as vital signs, EKG recordings, weights, etc.
• Perform phlebotomy as directed by the study plan and transport specimens to the laboratory.
• Accurately enter data in sponsor portals.
• Maintain accurate files and organized records for sponsor audits.
• Collect specimens, process, store and ship blood/tissue specimens as required by study.
• Collect source documents.
• File and pull study records as needed by physicians, research nurse and study monitors.
• Schedule study appointments for patients.
• Triage research-related phone calls to the proper source.
• Responsible for long‑term follow‑up.
• Performs other functions as required.
