Job summary

Velocity Clinical Research, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support the Clinical Operations Team in collecting, documenting, and maintaining clinical data, including phlebotomy and laboratory duties.

The role supports protocol adherence, proper data entry, and patient safety communications. The position emphasizes regulatory documentation, subject recruitment, and timely data processing within Velocity’s standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or technical degree with minimum 1 year of relevant experience in life sciences industry.
• Ability to use Computers, Microsoft Office software, fax, copier, and multi-line telephone.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conduct of clinical trials in accordance with study protocol, GCP, ICH Guidelines and Velocity SOPs.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture and/or other fluid collection within scope of protocol and regulations.
• With supervision, perform clinical assessments (vital signs, phlebotomy, ECG) within scope and regulations.
• Process, package and ship laboratory specimens as required per protocol and IATA regulations.
• Track, order and maintain inventory of all laboratory and study related supplies.
• Enter source data into sponsor/vendor data portal and resolve basic queries under supervision.
• Communicate with coworkers, leadership, study subjects, sponsors, CROs, and vendors.
• Understand good documentation practices when collecting and transferring data.
