Job summary

Velocity Clinical Research, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support the Clinical Operations Team in collecting, documenting, and maintaining clinical data, including phlebotomy and data entry duties.

The role involves assisting with trial procedures, specimen handling, and coordination with sponsors and CROs. The position emphasizes adherence to GCP/ICH guidelines, regulatory documentation, and patient recruitment tasks, with focus on teamwork and organized data management

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or technical degree with 1+ year experience in life sciences.
• Phlebotomy license if required by state law.
• Intra-muscular dose administration if applicable per state law.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and data entry practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conduct of clinical trials per protocol, GCP, ICH guidelines and Velocity SOPs.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture and other specimen collection as allowed.
• Under supervision, perform clinical assessments (vital signs, phlebotomy, ECG) per protocol and regulations.
• Process, package and ship laboratory specimens per protocol and IATA regulations.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory and study-related supplies.
• Enter source data into sponsor/vendor data portals and resolve basic queries under supervision.
• Communicate with study team, sponsors, CROs and vendors.
• Understand and participate in patient recruitment activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and Velocity data.
