Job Description

The UF Health Cancer Institute is the 72nd NCI designated cancer center and the only one at a public university in the State of Florida. Within a matrix cancer center, we span all of the University of Florida’s 16 colleges, bringing together a world‑class, multidisciplinary membership of more than 350 faculty and 150 staff to address the challenges of the cancer burden faced by the population we serve as we work together to find a cure.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe protocol‑required clinical data from medical records into case report forms, OnCore/Epic in accordance with protocol requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate research sample collection and ensure proper labeling, processing, storage, and shipping in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
• Facilitate regulatory compliance by assisting with audits, submitting required documents to the IRB, and tracking study approvals and subject data in the Clinical Trials Management System.
• Support the coordination of clinical trial participants, including preparing study materials, attending research meetings, and ensuring protocol‑specific tests and procedures are completed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing and/or Basic Sciences.
• One year of relevant experience or training in research and/or oncology.
• Experience working with databases and/or patient data.
• Familiarity with laboratory processes, including the collection, processing, storage, and shipment of human samples.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated ability to manage data accurately and maintain compliance with research protocols.
• Effective writing, organizational, and time‑management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience supporting clinical research and/or oncology‑related programs.
• Resourceful team player who can also work independently with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex situations collaboratively.
