The Surgical Oncology Pancreas Program Coordinator maintains the surgical oncology database, recruits patients for the biorepository, and coordinates the acquisition of time-sensitive samples. Responsibilities include project implementation, patient screening and recruitment, specimen processing, clinical data collection, and database administration, including IRB reports. The role involves direct patient contact for consent and data entry, software tracking of patients, and collaboration with labs for experiments and data generation.
Organize and coordinate the biorepository operations, including patient screening, specimen collection, data management, and longitudinal patient data collection. Develop and implement clinical, academic, and research activities aligned with Cancer Program goals, ensuring compliance with biosafety, HIPAA, and bloodborne pathogen training.
Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences, health sciences, social sciences, or medical field, or equivalent experience.
At least one year of experience including 6 months patient interfacing in a clinical support role and 6 months in clinical research. Proficient computer skills required. Successful background check, and possibly a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Location: Biomedical Research Tower (0112). Position Type: Regular, 40 hours/week, First Shift.
