Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to support internal teams in identifying opportunities for clinical and process improvements and to facilitate needed changes to enhance patient care. The role emphasizes data interpretation, dashboard creation, and adherence to accreditation standards within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of performance improvement experience with data skills, and 3 years of clinical patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 3 years performance improvement experience including group dynamics, change management, data retrieval, and analysis.
• 3 years clinical patient care experience.
• Ability to provide leadership and coordinate team activities to meet quality goals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects using traditional project management systems and processes.
• Advanced knowledge of clinical information available in hospital database applications.
• Computer literacy and data mining skills (statistical concepts, data management, variance tracking, and analysis).
• Expertise in accreditation standards and patient safety improvement concepts.
• High degree of self-direction and knowledge of quality and performance management concepts.
• Knowledge of risk adjustment models and ability to utilize risk-adjusted data to support improvement initiatives.
• Motivation to learn through independent reading, professional networking, and attending relevant conferences and webinars.
• CPHQ-Cert Professional Healthcare Quality HQCB - State of Pennsylvania within 2 Years

Responsabilités

• Facilitates and advises internal quality improvement teams. Identifies opportunities for clinical and/or process improvement and facilitates needed changes to improve care.
• Facilitates and advises Quality Assurance Committees. Analyzes peer review case findings to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Uses project management tools to plan, communicate, and drive progress toward goals.
• Applies evidence-based practices or guidelines to proposed interventions.
• Uses appropriate intervention behaviors and communication styles to facilitate change and improvement.
• Serves as a data resource to identify information needed to measure processes and outcomes.
• Facilitates dashboards or reports and summarizes data clearly for presentations.
• Ensures alignment of improvement initiatives with regulations and standards from accrediting bodies.
• Supports public reporting of clinical outcomes and related process improvements.
