Qualifications

• Requires NM License as Physical Therapist Assistant.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and patient care.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients with a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the patient lifespan.
• Oversees a comprehensive rehabilitation program to meet patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Promotes patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing resources.
• Coordinates care with multiple disciplines involved in patient care.
• Coordinates discharge goals with initial evaluation and care episodes.
• Acts as patient advocate.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term and community-based care.
