Job summary

Avera seeks a licensed psychologist to assess, diagnose, treat, and provide crisis intervention for behavioral health patients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, offering clinical consultation services and community education.

Responsibilities include conducting individual, family, and group therapy, maintaining documentation in the EMR, coordinating with hospital departments, and delivering patient education. Doctorate and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD, PsyD or equivalent) and licensure in the practicing state.
• Experience in clinical psychology and crisis intervention is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, family, or group therapy sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention for acute situations.
• Coordinate treatment with multidisciplinary team and referring physicians.
• Document therapy and progress in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Educate patients and families on psychological topics as needed.
