Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Clinical Psychologist in Wichita, KS to perform a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam. The role requires licensure in at least one state, a PhD or PsyD in Psychology with an adult-focus, and an active BLS certification.

Proficiency in MS Office and EMR is essential. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in at least one state in the United States.
• Board certification or 2-year residency in psychiatry/neurology for psychiatrists/neurologists.
• PhD or PsyD in Psychology with a focus on adult populations (Clinical, Counseling, or School).
• Graduated from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compassionate and professional with commitment to quality care.
• Proficient with MS Office and EMR platforms.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and informed-care decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: prior clinical experience.
• Preferred: VA or C&P experience.

Responsibilities

• Review mental health history and provide one-time non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams.
• Capture responses through web-based forms; document electronically.
• Submit completed exams to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability determinations.

Job description

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Wichita, KS.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: $55.00-60.07/hr.
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

• Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
• Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty
• Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
• Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.
• Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
• Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
• Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in clinical settings
• Prior VA or C&P experience

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
• The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
